No matter how much we want to live a happy and joy filled life...life can be painful and leave us shattered, lost, confused, and alone. Grief is not just about the loss of a loved one!
Life can seem unfair and there are times it make no sense. Parents bury children, children bury parents, family members commit suicide or have even murdered in front of us. Motor vehicle accidents take away beloved family member and friends. Everyone experiences grief differently and on their own timeline and in their own way. Life is not lived on a linear line and we do not always feel good. Life is unpredictable and it isn't always smooth and doesn't always go the way we want it to. Events happen in our lives that we have no control of and it makes us feel helpless and hopeless at times. We cannot control death, change, or the uncertainty that life gives us. In reality, there are lots of ebbs and flows, ups and downs and sometime we feel all alone and feel a huge hole in our hearts. We sometimes take our pain out on ourselves, others we love and our lives can become unmanageable.
